Mark’s Music Night at Carnegie Hall

We hope you’ll join us for a special evening this fall to celebrate Mark and one of his favorite pastimes. 🎶 💜

Music was an important part of Mark’s life from a young age, as he began learning how to play piano starting at age 3, taking lessons from internationally renowned pianist Ms. Tamar Kurdadze. Building on this foundation, Mark began playing the double bass at age 8 and took his love of learning very seriously. As a double bass player in his elementary and Greek school orchestras, Mark loved learning to play and shared this joy with the people around him. Becoming a musician himself made Mark even more excited when we went to classical music concerts as a family. He had a talent for identifying which instrument in the ensemble was playing at any given moment and shared these kernels of knowledge with us.

We are incredibly grateful that together with guest artists, Ms. Tamar Kurdadze — who was influential in shaping Mark’s love of music — will perform at Mark’s Music Night at the extraordinary Carnegie Hall. 🎻

Mark’s Music Night will be a chance to come together as a community — to listen, reflect, and celebrate the incredible person Mark will always be. And of course, all proceeds from Mark’s Music Night will go toward our mission of raising awareness about epilepsy and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) with the goal of saving lives.
